Description

COVID-19 has accelerated the use of telemedicine and innovations in the industry. As the healthcare industry adjusts to the "new normal" and new technology, healthcare entities and providers must understand the requirements to practice telehealth and ensure that they meet them.

Among the technology that has risen is digital therapeutics, which can replace or augment treatments traditionally provided through medication or in-person care. Also, remote monitoring devices are being used to collect patient data to monitor patients. When information from these technologies is transmitted to healthcare care providers, privacy and security of the information are essential.

Healthcare providers must consider the risk and liability associated with providing healthcare remotely as well as the standard of care and reimbursement, among other issues.

Listen as our authoritative panel of healthcare attorneys provides an an-depth discussion of emerging legal and regulatory issues in telehealth.
