This CLE webinar will offer guidance to new insurance defense lawyers about how to prepare the initial case report so that it will be a meaningful roadmap to discovery, settlement, and trial.

Description

The initial case report to the insurer is the cornerstone upon which the entire case is built and is a critical aspect of insurance defense that new attorneys need to learn. Doing a thorough evaluation up front usually saves time and money.

Initial case reports identify the strengths and weaknesses of a case early to allow attorneys to assess the potential risks and challenges and then outline strategies to help mitigate those risks.

Preparing a useful initial case report involves a thorough evaluation of the facts, evidence, and legal considerations surrounding the case. It often involves setting out a timeline of investigation, considering dispositive motions, and planning discovery. The panel will discuss how to identify the most crucial facts, research efficiently, and how litigation strategy is developed.

Listen as this panel of experienced insurance defense counsel shows new attorneys how to create initial case reports that offer a realistic evaluation of the case and an appropriate litigation plan.
