This teleconference will prepare advisors to non-profits to effectively meet the costing principals, management procedures and creation of internal controls required when a non-profit receives a federal grant.

Once a non-profit receives a coveted federal grant, the NPO and its advisors must make sure to work within the cost-assignment principles, internal controls and other procedures required under the federal Office of Management and Budget Circular A-110.

NPOs getting grants directly from a federal agency, or as a sub-award through a state or local government, have much to manage under OMB Circular A-110: expenditure periods, special grant conditions, recordkeeping and financial management standards, and cost-sharing rules.

Practical experiences from seasoned non-profit accounting advisors can help NPOs and their advisors deal with the potential non-compliance implications and develop the consistent management practices required by the circular.
