Description

The investigation of health care fraud has increased dramatically in recent years due to high rates of errors and omissions in reimbursement claims. In response to a congressional mandate to combat fraud, many states have strengthened their anti-fraud laws and private insurers are implementing fraud detection systems.

Until recently, investigations have centered on reimbursements and allegations of providers offering kickbacks and other inducements to select groups of patients. Now, new areas of fraudulent activity are being investigated, including clinical research fraud, off-label marketing, and medical device fraud.

Listen as our authoritative panel of healthcare investigations legal specialists discuss how healthcare providers can protect their interests before, during or after a government fraud investigation.
