This teleconference will update tax return preparers on new or revised federal tax laws that impact individual income tax returns.

Description

Federal tax law, and IRS regulations and guidance, concerning the individual income tax are constantly shifting and requires careful monitoring by return preparers. One prominent example lies in whether Congress will let the Bush tax cuts expire on schedule at the end of 2012 or extend them again.

Also, preparers will deal with expanded FICA payroll and Medicare taxes on higher-income taxpayers and will face various IRS revenue procedures and letter rulings that directly affect individual returns. Tax preparers must be familiar with the bottom line of all available guidance.

Listen as our instructors update you on changes in federal tax law and regulations that you must track to do a quality job for your individual return preparation clients.
