CLE & CPE Credits

Which states accredit Strafford programs for CLE?

Strafford is an approved sponsor for continuing legal education in states that accredit webinars.  Refer to our state CLE map for information about your state.

How do I get continuing legal education (CLE) credit for attending a live webinar?

Only registered and paid attendees will receive continuing education credits.

To obtain CLE credits you must have a paid registration and participate in the live webinar.  Watch for the attendance prompts that you will see while viewing the program. After the webinar is over, each attorney must confirm their participation by completing and submitting an Attendance Affirmation/Evaluation.  A link to this will be displayed on the screen immediately following the program.

Provided that you have satisfied all the conditions and your state has approved the course, a Certificate of Attendance will be emailed immediately.

Refer to our state CLE map for specific information about your state on this format.

How do I request continuing education credit for viewing a CLE On-Demand Video?

To obtain CLE credits, you will need to watch the course in its entirety and respond to the attendance verification prompts that appear during the program. Once you reach 100% completion, a link will appear on the screen of the player. Click on the link and fill out the form with your CLE state information. If the course is already approved for CLE credit, you will receive your certificate via email immediately. If the course is not approved yet, you will receive your certificate when it has been approved by your state.

The registered attendee is the only person who can receive continuing education credit for the CLE On-Demand Video.

Refer to our state CLE map for specific information about your state on this recorded format.

How do I obtain verification of attendance for reporting purposes?

Certificates of Attendance are provided to each paid participant.

If attending a live webinar, you will be prompted to link to the attendance affirmation form and survey.

If you have completed a CLE On-Demand program and met all the requirements you will be emailed a certificate immediately provided that your state has approved the course.

Can I apply for CLE credit on my own?

For most states, you can report your CLE credits without Strafford's assistance. Contact your state CLE board for information on self-reporting CLE credits.

To receive a Certificate of Attendance, you must confirm your participation by completing and submitting an Attendance Affirmation/Evaluation after the webinar.

How do I get CPE credit for attending a live webinar?

To obtain CPE credits for a Strafford webinar, you must participate in the live event via a computer and affirm your participation by responding to verification prompts that are displayed throughout the program.  In addition, you must confirm your participation by completing and submitting an Attendance Affirmation/Evaluation after the webinar.

For some webinars, you are required to order CPE credit processing before the program.  CPE processing must be ordered and paid by 2PM the day of the program to receive a Certificate of Attendance within 24 hours.

A link to the Attendance Affirmation/Evaluation will be on screen immediately following the live program.

Why is there a separate charge for CPE credit processing?

We have a separate processing charge for those attendees seeking optional CPE credits so that only those who need CPE credits incur those costs.

Each attendee seeking CPE credits should be registered for a line and pay an additional CPE processing fee.

For programs offering both CLE and CPE, you must purchase a line to receive CPE credit.

Can a group of listeners obtain CPE for a live webinar?

To obtain CPE credits for a Strafford webinar while participating via a group, attendees must participate in the live event via a computer, affirm participation by responding to verification prompts that are displayed throughout the program, complete and submit back to Strafford a proctor form. Submission of this form is required in order for Strafford to process CPE for GROUP participation (in one room on one computer).

Each person requesting CPE processing must be registered for a line (even those listening in a group) and pay an additional CPE processing fee.  Please contact customer service at 1-800-926-7926 to request a proctor form or to register additional people.

How do I apply for CPE credit processing for CPE On-Demand

To obtain CPE credits for a select Strafford CPE On-Demand, you must view the entire on-demand event, answer the multiple choice review questions at the end of each course section (review questions are not graded but must be answered correctly to continue to the next course section.), and pass the Final Exam with a score of 70% or better.  If you do not pass the Final Exam, you may retake the exam until you pass.

CPE On-Demand courses must be completed within one year from date of enrollment.

Your certificate of completion will be available after you successfully complete the course, pass the final exam with a score of 70% or better, and complete the certification form.
