from Experienced Security Leaders
CD of a Teleconference with Q&A
Failing to evaluate the special risks facing your company -- and each of its offices and facilities -- puts your entire security mission at risk. Site-specific risk assessments are a must for corporate security teams and can range from a simple matrix to a highly detailed plan.
You and your security staff must identify all of the potential risks -- from street crime to weather hazards -- facing each of your locations, their likelihood, and their damage potential. Armed with this knowledge, you must come up with practical strategies to address the risks.
Devising a credible risk assessment leading to smart decision making isn’t simple. Even the sharpest security teams need to constantly reevaluate their risk assessments and response plans -- and insights and experiences from respected peers can provide powerful lessons.
Listen as our panel of veteran corporate security leaders and consultants, each with extensive experience in managing site-specific risk assessments, will prepare you to:
- Determine if you can move ahead with a quick and basic evaluation -- or whether you need a highly detailed process and plan that will take more time
- Ask the right questions when interviewing employees about prospective threats
- Decide whether your risk assessments produce documents that can drive planning decisions on systems and staffing
- Make sure employees fully understand and seriously prepare for the dangers that your assessment reveals
Our panel includes:
Chad Callaghan, VP of Loss Prevention, Marriott International, Washington, D.C. Chad is a 32-year security veteran in charge of the safety and security of all Marriott businesses and brands and heads the company's North American crisis management team.
Sal Lifrieri is president of Protective Countermeasures and Consulting Inc. in New Rochelle, N.Y., a threat and vulnerability advisory firm to companies. He previously was director of security and intelligence operations for New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani’s office of emergency management for five years.
Rich Grassie, President, Techmark Security Integration Inc., Boston, MA. Rich has more than 36 years of experience in private security and the military. He currently leads a panel revising the ASIS risk assessment guideline.
