"One of the best e-file sessions I have attended. Finally, the
current and future of state participation and mandates in e-file
were addressed. Well done."

The state corporate and franchise tax e-filing trend has picked up steam in recent months.
In mid-summer, the first returns were processed under the voluntary Federal-State 1120 program –- which represents more than two dozen states –- after a long wait for vendors to produce e-filing software and states to certify them.
Meanwhile, four more states –- California, Massachusetts, Michigan and Connecticut –- have independently either mandated corporate e-filing or offered their own options.
Is your corporate tax department poised and prepared to meet the challenges arising from these new e-filing programs?
Listen as our panel of veteran tax corporate tax professionals and advisors helps you analyze state e-filing programs – from understanding the rules and technologies to assessing the benefits and risks.
Rick Campbell, Manager of Tax Analysis, CorpTax, Dallas, is the company's e-filing expert. CorpTax is the tax software arm of Deloitte & Touche.
Gary Centlivre, Chief Electronics Officer, Kansas Department of Revenue, Lawrence, KA, is in charge of the state's participation in the federal/state 1120 e-filing program.
J. Michael Guerin, Associate Deputy Commissioner, Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Boston, is responsible for tax processing and all related front end systems development. Massachusetts has mandated e-filing of corporate income tax returns for approximately two years, and he will discuss how the program has been working.
Jonathan Lyon, Senior Staff Associate, Federation of Tax Administrators, Washington D.C., coordinates state tax e-commerce efforts with the IRS and several professional organizations.
Jeannette Schollenberger, Executive Director, Ernst & Young, Grand Rapids, MI is the professional with the firm's national tax practice who most closely follows state income tax e-filing.
Cheryl Sullivan, Director of Processing, Wisconsin Department of Revenue, Madison, is in charge of the state's participation in the federal/state 1120 e-filing program.
Their presentations help you:
