How many CPE credits will I earn by participating in a webinar?
Strafford CPE Webinars are 110 minutes long and generally earn 2.0 CPE credits. The exact amount depends on the duration of attendance, including Q&A, and thus cannot be determined in advance. Where CPE credit is available on 90-minute tax law programs, the number of credits earned is generally 1.0 to 1.5.
Why is there a separate charge for CPE credit processing?
Because Strafford allows registrants to have unlimited listeners on a single telephone line for one registration fee, we have a separate processing charge for those attendees seeking Strafford's assistance in applying for the optional CPE credits. That way, only those individuals wishing to use Strafford's service incur those costs.
For attendees seeking CPE credits, there is a processing charge of $35 per person. CPE credit cannot be self-reported.
Who accredits CPE for Strafford webinars and teleconferences?
Strafford is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Developed in 1990, the National Registry is a program offered by NASBA to recognize CPE program sponsors who provide continuing professional education programs in accordance with nationally recognized standards. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
When should I sign-up for CPE credit processing?
To ensure fastest service, it is best to sign up for CPE credit processing prior to the program — however you may sign up any time before of after the program. Click here to learn how to apply for CPE credit processing.
How do I apply for CPE credit processing?
To obtain CPE credits for a Strafford webinar, you must affirm your participation by submitting Strafford's CPE Official Record of Attendance with the correct CPE listening code which is announced during the live program and pay the $35 per person CPE processing fee. In addition, you must either have a paid registration to the webinar or have participated with a paid registrant. You may apply for CPE credit processing any time before or after a program.

When will I receive my CPE certificate?
Strafford will email a certificate of CPE credit within approximately 2 weeks after of receiving an attendee's completed CPE Official Record of Attendance — provided all required conditions have been satisfied. Click here to learn how to apply for CPE credit processing.
Can I apply for CPE credit on my own?
CPE credit cannot be self-reported.
Where can I find the CPE attendance form?
A link to the Official Record of Attendance (CPE Form) is located in the top right corner of each teleconference program web page. In addition, a link to the form can be found within the 'thank you' email that is sent to each registrant following the conclusion of the program.
What if I sign up for CPE but cannot attend?
If you cannot attend, you can transfer your continuing education processing fee to another person or to another upcoming teleconference — or you can request a refund of your fee.
Is CPE credit available on recorded events and online webinars?
Strafford is not currently certified as a self-study continuing education provider for CPE credits.
How do I fill out my Official Record of Attendance for CPE?
